The problem with general models
General language models generate plausible but invented quotes, and an answer without a reference to the document, the version and the date has no evidence base. Besides, cloud services receive the content of the contracts — confidential information leaves the perimeter.
How the navigator works
- Uploading documents: contracts, acts, policies in Russian and English — they form the knowledge base.
- A question in natural language: the agent clarifies the jurisdiction, the date and the scope of the search.
- Searching for grounds: the relevant fragments are extracted from the uploaded documents.
- An answer with quotes: verbatim quotes, the details of the source, the version and the date.
- A package for the lawyer: the materials are handed to the relevant specialist for checking.
Collections, access, two languages
The documents are arranged into separate collections with access rights for different roles and jurisdictions: each role sees only its own area. Russian and English work in a single interface: an answer in Russian can come with quotes in English from the original of the contract.
What the navigator does not do
It does not constitute legal advice, it does not promise the completeness of the base and it does not confirm whether a provision is current without checking the source and the date. Questions and answers
Does the navigator issue a legal opinion?
No: it produces an answer with exact quotes and a package of materials; the legal position is confirmed by the relevant specialist.
Do the documents go to the cloud?
In the local mode — no: the documents, the questions and the search results stay in the company's perimeter. Cloud models — only by explicit choice.
Can the revisions of a document be compared?
Yes: the navigator compares the revisions and records the divergences for a lawyer to check.
Is the answer a legal opinion?
No: the navigator prepares materials with quotes and details, the legal position is checked by the relevant specialist.
In which languages do the documents work?
Russian and English. The list of languages can be extended on the customer's request for an additional fee — that is a separate refinement.
How are the access rights separated?
The collections of documents and the access rights are set before launch; a question is processed only within the allowed collections.
What does the answer include?
A short answer, exact quotes, the details of the sources and the list of documents the conclusion is based on.
Is the currency of the norm checked?
The version of the document and the currency of the norm are checked by the specialist who uploads the documents the agent works on.
Where can the navigator run?
In a local or cloud RAG perimeter with the collections separated.
Why is it useful for a lawyer?
It shortens the search of provisions in the array of contracts and the comparison of revisions, handing over a ready package of sources for checking.
